From a Career in Advertising to Clinical Psychology
Sarah’s path to becoming a clinical psychologist was not a traditional one, which is why her approach is so effective for people navigating the complexities of modern life.
She spent two decades in the demanding and creative field of advertising, including serving as General Manager for two New Zealand agencies. Her career took her around the world, including a role in Thailand with Saatchi & Saatchi. Over time, she began to feel disillusioned, realising that professional achievement wasn’t enough; the work also had to be meaningful.
This led her to a new path. After taking a year off, she embarked on the extensive and rigorous journey of retraining as a clinical psychologist. This unique background gives her a rare understanding of two worlds: the high-pressure professional environment and the confidential, therapeutic space.
"I wanted to do something that actually mattered."
The Transformation
Sarah took a year off, retrained completely, and emerged as a clinical psychologist with a unique understanding of both worlds – the demanding professional environment and the therapeutic space.
International Perspective
Sarah’s extensive international experience working across diverse cultures and countries brings a broader perspective to therapy. She’s worked with diverse populations and understands how cultural background intersects with professional identity and personal growth.

Clinical Expertise You Can Trust
Sarah is committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.
- Clinical Psychologist: Sarah is a Clinical Psychologist, which means she has completed advanced postgraduate training and a two-year registrar program. This pathway provides specialised expertise in assessment and therapy, with an emphasis on ensuring that the approaches used are evidence-based. While clinical psychologists are skilled in working with more complex presentations, Sarah also supports clients with a wide range of challenges, always tailoring her approach to each person’s needs.
- EMDR Accredited: Sarah is accredited in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing), an effective and evidence-based therapy that helps people process difficult past experiences in a way that reduces their ongoing impact. EMDR is also effective for phobias, such as fear of flying, and can be used for ‘future templating,’ where clients rehearse handling upcoming situations with greater confidence and calm.
- Board-Approved Supervisor: Sarah is approved by the Psychology Board of Australia to provide supervision to other psychologists and clinical psychology registrars.
- Commitment to Ongoing Learning: One of Sarah’s core values is learning. She is dedicated to continuous development through regular supervision and ongoing training to evolve her practice.
Selective & Focused
Sarah works with clients who are ready for change – motivated professionals who want to grow, not those who are mandated to attend. This creates a collaborative environment where real transformation happens.
